Are you passionate about social justice issues and seeking to be part of an uplifting choral community? Dates for fall auditions are set, and we would love to meet you! Join us on Thursday, Sept. 1 between 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m; or Thursday, Sept. 8 between 5:30 and 6:50 p.m. to see if Calliope is right for you. Email director@calliopewomenschorus.org to set a time to come meet us.

Singers who identify as female and are able to sing treble clef are invited to audition. Calliope welcomes singers of all races, nationalities, religious affiliations, sexual orientations and ages. Our rehearsals and performances are handicap-accessible.

Auditions take about ten minutes, though prospective singers have been known to stick around and chat with our Calliope greeters well into the evening!

What happens in a Calliope audition? You will sing a song of your choice–bring sheet music and our accompanist would be happy to play for you.  Our director will run you through some scales and an ear exercise, and then it’s time for you to ask any questions you may have!

Auditions are located in the sanctuary of Macalester Plymouth United Church, located at: 1658 Lincoln Ave, St Paul, MN 55105. This is on Macalester’s campus just west of Snelling Avenue and Grand Avenue. Use the west door to enter.
